Who we are

This website is run by Bijliwala Ltd., operating as Bijliwala Contracting, in Ontario, Canada. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

When you request an estimate, we ask for your name, phone number, and optionally your email and business name, plus details about your project such as its location, size, timing and budget. You choose what to type; only the project type, your name and a phone number are required.

We do not ask for payment details, identity documents or anything about your health or finances beyond a budget range you may choose to give.

How we use it

We use these details only to reply to your enquiry, prepare an estimate and, if you hire us, carry out your project. We do not sell your information or share it for marketing.

Marketing messages

Sending an enquiry does not sign you up for anything. We will only send marketing messages if you separately agree to receive them.

Who handles it for us

We use a few providers to run this site and receive your request. They act on our instructions and only for these purposes:

• Vercel hosts the website and, only if you allow analytics, measures page views and speed.
• Resend delivers the email that carries your estimate request to us.
• Our email provider stores the messages we receive and send.

Where it is stored

These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is there it is subject to the laws of that country, and courts, law enforcement and national security authorities there may be able to access it.

Cookies and storage

This site uses a small amount of storage on your device. None of it follows you to other sites.

• A cookie that remembers your cookie choice (one year).
• Your light or dark theme, kept until you change it.
• A note that you have seen the opening animation, kept until you close the tab.
• The answers in an estimate request while you fill it in, kept in this browser tab for up to a day and removed once the request is sent.
• Only if you choose Accept all, or switch analytics on: Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which count page views and measure speed. They show us totals, not who you are, and are not used for advertising.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep enquiry details only as long as we need them for your project and our records.

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, at any time. Call or text (416) 407-7755 or write to estimates@bybijliwala.com. You can change your cookie choice with the Cookies link at the bottom of every page.

If you are not satisfied

Talk to us first and we will try to put it right. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca).
